STAYON - Preventing school dropout
"STrategies And systems to reduce YOung people’s Non-completion of upper secondary vocational education".
The project uses quantitative and qualitative methods to investigate and develop in an innovatively trans-European context means of meeting the “Completion Challenge” in post-compulsory vocational education for 16-19 year olds. We define this challenge as the urgent social and economic necessity to reduce drop-out rates and ensure young people’s completion of courses leading to transferable qualifications in “New Skills for New Jobs”. 2nd In-Service Training Course
October 2015 Haugesund, NORWAY
The second In-Service Training Course for the STAYON project together with a European conference on the prevention of school dropout will be held in the coastal town of Haugesund in Norway, home to the Viking kings. The aim of the course/conference is to prevent school dropout by providing strategies and systems that reduce young peoples non-completion of upper secondary vocational education. During course/conference the participants will experience workshops, the STAYON marked place, school visits, cultural events and sightseeing. Click here for more information and registration >> |
